Gnarathon 2024
Welcome to the second edition of the Gnarathon Vienna! A fun, laid back and inclusive event created by skaters, for skaters, with an aim at uniting the Vienna skate scene and connecting it with the international skateboard community. Following last year’s success and thanks to Vans’ support, the Gnarathon is extended to 3 days, with a full program of exhibitions, discussions, videos, concerts… and gnarly skate sessions!

Kick Off On Thursday, May 30th we kick off the Gnarathon 2024 with a Party @Brilliantengrund The day starts with a street skate session exclusively for FLINTA* (Female, Lesbian, Inter-, Nonbinary, Trans and Agender) where skaters can network and then take part in the event and contest on the following two days in a strengthened Community. At 18:00 we open the doors at Hotel Am Brillantengrund for everyone! There will be an exhibition showing works by female and queer, national and international artists who are actively involved in the skate scene. Followed by a panel discussion focusing on gender equality and the accessibility of skate events for FLINTA* people) at 19:00 Raisa Abal (Dolores),Selin Ardak (Girlsrule), Miljana Miljewic (Consent is Rad), Lucia Soltmann Cortez (Skatesencia Berlin) At 20:30 the video premieres of Glitterz and Dolores Magazine will take place open air followed by some vinyl sounds of Mjane (@mjane.upd8e) 12:00 Flinta* Street Session (Location tba) |

We’re back at Karlsplatz This time our friends and artists Flo and Niki designed a very unusual skate course. No one can predict what will happen. Painting by Harasananas. The only guarantee: tons of fun! In the evening the skate nerds will have the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test with the Ashes Skate Quiz, followed by more video screenings and DJ sets. 16:00 – 17:00 warm up |

1. Schwarzenbergplatz Saturday is the big day! Starting with a downtown street session curated by Carhartt WIP at Schwarzenbergplatz. Ledge technicians will be in the spotlight at this classic Vienna spot. Can you hold a back tail for 10 meters? We got the wax… 12:00 – 12:30 warm up |

2. Back to the Danube Summer in Vienna means chilling at the Danube, so we’re gonna go to the Danube… but we’re not gonna chill! Vans’ double obstacle extravaganza built by Spoff Parks promises to be spectacular. We’re talking 18m long downhill rail plus a bank to wall so big it’s gonna make Trump jealous! 15:00 – 16:00 warm up |

3. Ring of Fire To properly finish it off Monster is inviting us all to the legendary Arena with a surprise obstacle as hot as Satan’s undies and a musical program you will not soon forget. 20:00 Doors open |
